Evidence-Based Treatment Approaches

Proven interventions tailored to each young person's needs

At Adolbi Care BHC, we utilize a range of evidence-based therapeutic approaches that have been proven effective for children, adolescents, and young adults. Our clinicians are trained in multiple modalities, allowing them to select and adapt approaches based on each client's unique needs, preferences, and developmental stage.

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)

Helps young people identify and change unhelpful thought patterns and behaviors that contribute to emotional distress. CBT is effective for a wide range of concerns, including anxiety, depression, and behavioral challenges.

Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT)

Combines cognitive strategies with mindfulness practices to help young people regulate emotions, tolerate distress, improve relationships, and develop effective coping skills. Particularly helpful for intense emotions and impulsive behaviors.

Family Systems Therapy

Addresses patterns of interaction within the family that may be contributing to a young person's difficulties. Helps families improve communication, resolve conflicts, and create a more supportive environment.

Play Therapy

Uses play as a natural form of expression to help younger children process emotions, develop coping skills, and resolve psychological challenges in a developmentally appropriate way.

Trauma-Focused Therapies

Specialized approaches for addressing the impact of traumatic experiences, including Trauma-Focused CBT, EMDR, and other trauma-informed interventions that promote healing and resilience.

Motivational Interviewing

A collaborative approach that helps young people explore and resolve ambivalence about change. Particularly effective for adolescents and young adults struggling with substance use or other behavioral changes.

Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA)

A structured approach that uses positive reinforcement and other strategies to increase helpful behaviors and reduce behaviors that interfere with learning and functioning. Often used as part of treatment for autism spectrum disorders.

Mindfulness-Based Approaches

Techniques that help young people develop present-moment awareness, reduce stress, and respond more effectively to difficult thoughts and feelings. Can be integrated with other therapeutic approaches.

Service Delivery Formats

Flexible options to meet diverse needs

We recognize that different young people and families have different needs, preferences, and schedules. To ensure accessibility and effectiveness, we offer multiple service delivery formats:

Individual Therapy

One-on-one sessions between a young person and a therapist, focused on addressing specific challenges, developing coping skills, and working toward personal goals. Session frequency and duration are tailored to each client's needs.

Family Therapy

Sessions that include parents/caregivers and often siblings to address family dynamics, improve communication, resolve conflicts, and strengthen relationships. Family therapy is often integrated with individual therapy for optimal results.

Group Therapy

Therapeutic groups for young people of similar ages facing similar challenges. Groups provide peer support, skill development, and opportunities to practice new behaviors in a safe, structured environment. We offer a variety of topic-specific groups.

Telehealth Services

Secure video sessions that allow young people and families to access therapy from home or other convenient locations. Telehealth can increase accessibility for those with transportation challenges, busy schedules, or health concerns.

School-Based Services

Therapy and support services delivered in school settings, reducing barriers to access and allowing for collaboration with teachers and school staff. Available in select partner schools in our community.

Intensive Outpatient Programs

Structured programs that provide multiple therapeutic contacts per week for young people requiring more intensive support. These programs typically include a combination of group, individual, and family therapy.
